So this will be short, I’m going to put the source code online together with an example of how to use instancePc.This is by no means finished and by all means still a work in progress, but hopefully you can learn something from it. So I apologize if it breaks. At the moment I’ve only been compiling for Ubuntu 9.04 so I have no idea if this even works on windows. I will continue to create more step by step posts and examples when I have a bit of time.

Just to let you know I successfully compiled this example with hcustom on win7 64 H11.0.547. The leaves seem to be rendering fine If anyone is interested I can share binaries.

Hi,

I compiled with vista 64 H11.0.581.
I needed to add one line in .c file.
After that it does not give me any error.
However, whatever I tried in H11 to render to see.
It does not render anything but grid…..

I tried jerry’s dll (thank you!!),
but same result… nothing to be rendered.

Do I miss something?

dll is in under houdini11.0/dso/mantra/
I cached what you tell me to cache.
Still I don’t see anything….
I added instance render attribute but same result…

I really want to use this !!

So please tell me what I am missing!!

I was compiling lots of other sources and they work. but Not this ONE!!??

And source code is just fine without any fix. sorry about that.
